CALL FOR BIDS TO HOST THE
17th INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF CITRICULTURE CONGRESS IN 2032
A bid should be submitted to ISC President Kwan Song by 1 July 2024 for consideration by the Executive Committee at its meeting held during the ISC Congress in 2024 Jeju City, Korea. No bids will be accepted after this date without written approval from President Song.
For consideration, bids must include: (a) demonstrated buy-in from the growers, researchers, and industry individuals in various segments of the country's citrus industry; (b) evidence of a strong financial plan with an indication of whether government support will be available; (c) overview of the country's citrus industry; (d) the proposed venue for the Congress, with details of the quality of the meeting facilities and the affordability, quality and closeness of an adequate number of hotels, and what attendees will be able to see and do with regard to the citrus industry and local attractions as a part of mid- and pre- and post-congress tours.
If the bid is complete, a representative(s) from the country submitting the bid should be prepared to be invited to give a short video or Powerpoint presentation highlighting the above information at the Executive Committee meeting held during the ISC Congress in Jeju City, Korea. Should the country win the bid, they should be prepared to make a similar presentation to the entire ISC membership at the closing session of the Congress.
